LIVELY ENTERTAINMENT

They are getting larger and larger and can be found in many living rooms – we’re talking here about flat screen TVs. Manufacturing the displays for these “entertainment giants” requires, among other things, neon gas mixtures to operate excimer lasers. These lasers generate wide laser beams with wavelengths in the ultraviolet range, which are emitted from the electrically excited molecules of the neon gas mixture, thereby generating low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS). LTPS technology produces thin, lightweight, elastic displays with particularly high resolution.
