EFFECTIVE AGAINST MICROPOLLUTANTS

Environmentally friendly ozone can break up various organic substances very rapidly and, in so doing, make them biodegradable. Along with problematic pollutants in seepage water, this also includes micropollutants such as medications, residual pesticides, and other critical chemicals. Conventional wastewater treatment plants generally have three stages, but they are still unable to remove enough of these pollutants. That’s why new regulations established by the EU and many countries require additional effective measures. In most cases, ozonization is the preferred method for this fourth stage. As efficient as it is effective, it is also often less expensive than the available alternatives. Contact with ozone leaves behind largely biodegradable reaction products, which are then easily removed from the wastewater in the biological post-treatment.
