SITTING MORE COMFORTABLY

For the furniture industry, carbon dioxide is an important aid when it comes to producing the first-class foam rubber used as a filler and upholstering material in beds, chairs and sofas. To make foam rubber even more comfortable, it is treated with liquid carbon dioxide. Major manufacturers need several tons of carbon dioxide per year for this application. Smaller quantities of nitrogen are also used.
