CRYSTAL CLEAR IMPROVEMENT

Practically every house has drinking glasses, vases and pitchers. They are made of glass that is also produced – by the ton – in natural gas-fired furnaces that work with preheated air. Not all such furnaces reach the temperature required for production. For that reason, supplemental oxygen is added to the combustion process. It raises the temperature of the furnace and can also reduce natural gas consumption. In so doing, oxygen also helps make glass production more profitable.
